Yoga should be, first and foremost, a personal journey. People are usually introduced to the practice through yoga classes and eventually begin craving a chance to go deeper into the teachings that lead to the transformational element of yoga when applied to life.
Often the only option is to take a Yoga Teacher Training Course, which is lovely, only all that time spent on anatomy, ethics of teaching, and being forced to practice instructing others just isn't of interest to you, and those hours devoted to subjects you don't plan to use make the journey more costly and time-consuming.
Yoga Transformation is a special yoga education program to deepen a yogi’s connection to classic teachings and practices and enhance one’s connection to their heart, mind, and inner voice. This course opens the doors to transformation, personal growth, and a deeper understanding of the practice you love with a focus on your personal journey, rather than teaching others.
Join us to walk the labyrinth, explore chakras and the energy body, engage in creative projects, meditate, and savor yoga's most inspirational practices. Yoga Transformation occurs when you apply the teachings of yoga to your life, and this course dives into considering how to live your purpose, embrace healthy habits, and cultivate peace and balance in your life. Yoga is key to resetting your focus and energies to the things that bring you happiness and wholeness.

This course is for all levels and is appropriate for beginners to advanced yoga students. Anyone interested in learning about yoga philosophy, history, and practice or who wants to apply yoga principles to their lives to feel better, inside and out, will love this course. No worries about your age, your state of fitness, or your experience. This course is about much more than the physical practice.
You will get tons out of this course if you just come to the weekly session, but for locals, extra classes are included. You are offered unlimited yoga for the term of the course, so we hope that you will use and enjoy the opportunity to spend more time at Heartwood to refine your practice and dive into yoga to reap the amazing benefits.
You will be studying with teachers holding the highest credentials in yoga. This course is taught by the same teachers who work with our Yoga Teacher Training students and all are ERYT-500 and IAYT Yoga therapists with years of experience mentoring others.
Each day we begin with an asana class which may include restorative, yin, flow, or a specialty class to explore the diversity of yoga. This will be followed by philosophy or discussions that awaken understanding, and we end the day with mindfulness, art, or other activities to enrich our connections and expand our awareness.
We hope everyone attends as consistently as possible to get the most from the course, but life happens and sometimes you can't help but miss material. In many cases, we have online material, or we repeat the lecture in another class and if so, you are welcome to come make up the work. But since there are no tests or requirements as there are in Yoga Teacher Training, your attendance is not mandatory. (Of course, we will miss you any day you are not with us.) With unlimited yoga for 12 weeks, you can also join us for practice as much as you like, so you will continue to progress.
