Day one of this course explores pranayama in the classic context with focus on the respiratory system, subtle functioning of the breath, Nadis, Siva Samhita (four stages) and the effects of pranayama on specific wellness situations and/or diseases of mind and body. Additional studies in this unit include Yoga for Asthma and Respiratory disease. Day two covers elements of subtle body studies & correlating philosophy, including koshas, kleshas & the role of practices such as mudras and chanting for deeper connections.
